Description

EDS 10 is a fine-meshed knitted screen made of stainless steel. It is ideal for shielding against high-frequency electromagnetic waves, low-frequency alternating electric fields and for dissipating static charges. It is suitable for 5G frequencies.

It is used specifically as a shielding mesh for large areas in the construction industry, e.g. for roofs, exterior walls, under floor coverings, in timber frame houses and for full thermal insulation. The fabric can be used both under plaster and in drywall construction.
When laying under plaster, EDS 10 must be bonded with the thinnest possible organic levelling compound (without fillers). When laying under a floor covering (laminate, parquet, PVC flooring, etc.), it must be bonded with adhesive. When laying in drywall construction and in roof areas, the sheets are screwed or stapled together as required. The following rule always applies: the sheets must overlap by 5 cm. For earthing, our perforated stainless steel earthing strip is screwed firmly to the substrate / across all sheets.
Due to its corrosion-resistant properties, it is particularly suitable as the basis for a ground covering on the exterior walls of the house, as it has good resistance to water, water vapour, moisture, mild acids and, in coastal regions, salty seawater.
EDS 10 is permeable, tear-resistant, very robust and flexible. It is activated on the surface (de-oiled and degreased). This increases the contact capability and leads to low contact resistance.

Earthing accessories are not included in the scope of delivery.
If earthing is required, please observe the ‘Safety instructions and earthing regulations’
