EMF Shielding Paint –
Protection Against Electromagnetic Radiation for Homes and Buildings
Electromagnetic radiation is now part of everyday life. Mobile networks, Wi-Fi, 5G, smart home technologies and numerous wireless devices generate high-frequency electromagnetic fields that can penetrate buildings.
Many people therefore want living spaces with the lowest possible exposure to radiation – especially in bedrooms, children’s rooms or home offices.
With the powder-based EMF shielding paint available from Ecologa Europe, interior spaces and buildings can be effectively protected against electromagnetic radiation.
The conductive specialty paint forms an invisible protective layer within the wall structure after application and significantly reduces high-frequency electromagnetic radiation.
It is suitable for:
- private homes and apartments
- bedrooms and children’s rooms
- building biology renovations
- new construction projects
- wellness hotels and retreat spaces
- architectural projects with increased health requirements
Two Product Lines for Different Applications
To cover different application requirements, the shielding paint is available in two product series.
Classic Series – EMF Shielding Paint Without Graphene
The Classic Series provides reliable shielding against electromagnetic radiation and is especially suitable for:
- private living spaces
- renovation projects
- building biology remediation
It is based on a specially developed conductive formulation without graphene and allows effective EMF shielding with easy application.
Performance Series – Graphene Shielding Paint
The Performance Series was developed for more demanding environments.
By integrating graphene components, the paint achieves particularly high electrical conductivity, enabling very high shielding performance.
Typical applications include:
- buildings near mobile phone antennas
- highly exposed urban areas
- professional EMF shielding concepts
- hotels, retreats and wellness areas
- architectural health-focused projects
Important: The paints do not contain graphene oxide, but specially engineered graphene components.
Tested and Verified Shielding Performance
The shielding effectiveness has been confirmed by an independent expert report.
All specified values apply within a frequency range of 500 MHz to 40 GHz.
The test report was prepared by Professor Pauli from the University of the Bundeswehr Munich.
Typical shielding values:
- 1 layer (~100 g/m²): up to 36 dB
- 2 layers (~200 g/m²): up to 58 dB
- 3 layers (~300 g/m²): up to 65 dB
This corresponds to a reduction of high-frequency radiation of up to 99.9999 %.
Easy Application on Interior and Exterior Surfaces
The shielding paint can be applied to many substrates, for example:
- plaster
- concrete
- drywall
- wallpaper
- wood (with suitable primer)
After drying, it can easily be painted over with conventional interior or exterior paints.
Typical applications:
- wall shielding
- ceiling shielding
- façade shielding
- building biology room shielding
For optimal performance, the shielding paint must be properly grounded.
Eco-Friendly Powder Paint – Without Problematic Preservatives
One special feature of TURTAL shielding paint is its powder formulation.
Unlike many liquid paints, it contains:
- no preservatives
- no biocides
- no solvents
- no antifreeze agents
Many conventional liquid paints contain isothiazolinones or other biocides, which can trigger allergies or harm the environment.
Thanks to the powder form, this problem is completely avoided.
Additional advantages:
- low emissions
- odorless
- short drying time
- environmentally friendly transport
Suitable for Private and Professional Projects
The shielding paint is suitable for both private users and professional applications.
Typical users include:
- private homeowners
- building biologists
- EMF consultants
- architects
- construction companies
- wellness hotels
- health centers
Combine Shielding Paint with Other EMF Shielding Products
For comprehensive protection, shielding paint can be combined with other EMF shielding products such as:
- shielding fabrics
- shielding curtains for windows
- shielding fleece materials
- shielding bed canopies
Especially in bedrooms, combining wall shielding with a shielding canopy is a particularly effective solution.
Consultation and Planning
The optimal shielding strategy always depends on the individual situation.
Important factors include:
- radiation intensity
- direction of radiation sources
- building structure
- room usage
For this reason, a building biology measurement is often recommended before planning.
Our team will be happy to assist you in selecting the right solution.
FAQ – Frequently asked questions about shielding paint
How long does the shielding effect last?
The powder EMF shielding paint is extremely durable and does not lose its effectiveness over time. As long as it is not mechanically damaged (for example by scratches or abrasion), the shielding performance remains intact.
Is there a difference between one and multiple layers?
Yes. The shielding performance increases with each additional layer:
- 1 layer (~100 g/m²): up to 36 dB
- 2 layers (~200 g/m²): up to 58 dB
- 3layers (~300 g/m²): up to 65 dB
Depending on the radiation intensity in your environment, two coats are usually recommended, while in some cases a third coat may be necessary.
Is the shielding paint safe for health?
Yes. The shielding paint is free from:
- solvents
- biocides
- preservatives
It is low-emission, odorless and environmentally friendly, making it suitable for households with children, pets or sensitive individuals.
Why choose powder paint instead of liquid paint?
Because liquid paints typically contain preservatives.
What are the advantages of powder shielding paint?
It is low-emission and odorless. Application is simple, drying time is short, and the paint can easily be covered with conventional wall or façade paints.
What adhesion strength should a good shielding paint have?
It should have at least 10 N/mm².
The powder shielding paint has 12.2 N/mm².
What happens if the adhesion strength is too low?
Even after drying, the paint may leave traces, for example on the hand.
If shielding paint is then painted over with a conventional paint (for example white paint), the color may turn greyish and several coats may be required. This can also reduce the shielding performance.
Is grounding really necessary?
Yes. Proper grounding is absolutely essential.
