Existing low-frequency electric fields couple to electrically conductive metal parts in the room, and the field strength continues to increase.
Low-frequency electric fields in the office or workplace area can be reduced by replacing unshielded connection/extension cables, power strips and desk lamps with shielded cables, for example. Since these are mobile, plug-in connection and consumption devices, this can usually be done by a layperson. The use of these connection and consumption devices is also possible in other areas/rooms where people stay for longer periods of time.
